prettyvikael: when war broke out among the Fae over humanity, the Sanquineshti, the Vampires, grew really powerful and nearly wiped humanity out
prettyvikael: and were really destructive
prettyvikael: the Dragons intervened enough to bestow their abilities on humanity
prettyvikael: the Fae receeded, the Cycle of the Creator began
prettyvikael: humanity began to flourish
prettyvikael: and started to rampantly consume more of the Earth than they replaced
prettyvikael: the Creators elevated different species of animal to protect the wild places
prettyvikael: the Cycle of the Were began
prettyvikael: and that is where our pre-history begins
prettyvikael: with weres protecting wildplaces
prettyvikael: humans have a healthy fear of the wilderness and mythological creatures
prettyvikael: the Fae are still around, but not running things, the moved to the Fae realm for the most part
prettyvikael: the remaining Sanguineshti, for the most part, don't cause enough of a problem to be snuffed out entirely
prettyvikael: until Sunet decided to take over one of the most powerful rising nations in the known world
