OTHER WERES All were's mark territory because the creators made them to protect the natural habitats of the world. In most were cultures the woman are considered the the brains while the males are considered the brawn's. Not saying that men are dumb but there instincts are more towards the surface than females and they often react and then think. It's said that women protect the pack structure while males protect the pack from outside threats. This translates to people less in touch with their instincts as a one-track mind. Hence male weres, more often than females, are perceived as dumb by non-weres. This is why vampires and Fea treat weres like second-class citizens or lesser humans. While they are not, by any means simple, their instincts can make them seem simple to the inattentive eye. Tigers are often lone entities and a male will have several females that they claim and impregnate, however they have no influence in raising the child. Due to the location of their habitat were-tigers are almost extinct. They are also the strongest and fiercest of the were's. Instinct stop family members from mating for all were species. were-sea-lions are along the coasts while other creatures protect the deep darkness of the ocean. They rarely change to their human form since sea-lions are protected by the wild life preservation act. were-bears also remain more often in their animal form since they hibernate through the winter. They go through long stretches without being in contact with the outside world. As such they are disconnected and only some acclimate to human life. were-lions are extinct and little information is known about them. were-panthers or Jaguars are also more rare due to their nature to remain in rain forests and other low populated area's.
